While working on this LEAP 2 Assignment, my partner Cassie and I experienced many highs as well as a few lows from beginning to end. It was great to get to know one of my classmates through this assignment, and I am glad to have worked with Cassie as we both had similar working styles and were able to split all of the work evenly.

After choosing our topic of Propaganda, our first main challenge was deciding which online software to use to make our presentation. After looking into each one, we decided on Powtoon and got to work right away. We first made a shared google doc that we could both actively edit at the same time, and broke down what information we wanted to include in our video as well as who was going to research what. In choosing such an important topic, we decided to be very specific with information to share about it. Since we had discussed Propaganda as a topic in class in Chapter 5, we both felt confident in our knowledge on what propaganda is, beneficial/harmful propaganda as well as its importance and presence in everyday life. However, we decided to go a step further and research more into the why. For example, why it is important to know what different types of propaganda look like and how to identify it.

After that, we each completed our assigned parts and met once we had created our slides and were beginning to do our voiceovers. At that point, a problem that we both ran in to was running out of time for our presentation on Powtoon. It was not brought to our attention that the video could only be 3 minutes total (for the free version) until that point in time. Luckily, we were able to make a solid presentation in that 3 minute time-limit, however we had more information on our shared google doc that we were planning on including in the presentation. In addition, some of our narrations had to be sped up, which we would have otherwise slowed down if there was time allotted. Finally, when working with Powtoons there were times in which it would freeze and not save work. Although frustrating at times, Cassie and I gave ourselves enough time to complete the project so there was ample time to fix anything that might have not saved at any point. If we had waited to start the project until the week before, I am not sure we would have been able to construct a solid presentation. In creating this video, the saying, "good things take time" was definitely reinforced.

All in all, Powtoon was a great free animation tool, but I might have spent more time exploring the other options if I knew about the 3 minute time limit it sets before completing most of the presentation. It was very fun however to choose various characters and be able to play around with the animation aspects of things, as I have never done that before. I am very proud of the presentation Cassie and I were able to create and share, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
